The Indian Army has invited online applications for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme, TES 51 Entry, for the July 2024 batch. This is an unmarried male entry into the Army through the technical stream, and candidates who clear the selection process will eventually be commissioned as officers.

Online applications opened on 13 October 2023 and the last date to apply, as well as to complete the form, is 12 November 2023. There is no application fee for either General, OBC, SC or ST candidates. Age for this entry is fixed between 16 years 6 months and 19 years 6 months. Those shortlisted will appear for an SSB interview scheduled for February or March 2024.

Since this entry has a narrow age window measured in months rather than just years, candidates should check their exact date of birth eligibility in the notification before applying. The SSB interview schedule, once announced, will follow the written and document screening stages of the selection.

How to Apply

  1. 1Read the official notification carefully before you start, since it covers eligibility, age limit and vacancy details in more depth than any summary can.
  2. 2Open the "Apply Online" link on this page to go to Indian Army's own application portal; applications submitted anywhere else won't be valid.
  3. 3Register with a working email address and mobile number, since the portal typically sends your login details and status updates to both.
  4. 4Fill in the form with your personal, educational and category details exactly as they appear on your certificates. A mismatch here is one of the most common reasons applications get rejected at verification.
  5. 5Upload your scanned photograph and signature in the exact format, dimensions and file size the notification specifies.
  6. 6Check every section of the completed form on the preview screen before you submit, since most portals don't allow edits afterward.
  7. 7Download or print the confirmation page once submission is complete; you'll likely need it again at the admit card or document verification stage.
  8. 8Applications close on 12 Nov 2023, so don't leave this for the last day. Portals slow down and sometimes fail under heavy traffic right before a deadline.
