The Bihar Public Service Commission has declared the final result for the 66th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination 2020, covering 731 posts across various departments including police and administrative services. This recruitment ran over nearly two years, moving through the preliminary exam, mains, and finally the interview stage before reaching this final result.
Applications had opened on 28 September 2020 and closed on 28 October 2020, with the fee payment and form completion deadlines on the same date. The preliminary exam was held on 27 December 2020, after an admit card release on 16 December 2020, and the answer key followed on 21 January 2021. The preliminary result came out on 24 March 2021, and mains forms were accepted from 15 to 22 June 2021, with the mains exam conducted from 29 to 31 July 2021. The mains result was declared on 13 April 2022, and the final result followed on 3 August 2022. The application fee was 600 rupees for General, OBC and other state candidates, and 150 rupees for SC, ST, PH candidates as well as for female candidates domiciled in Bihar. The minimum age varies by post, while the maximum age is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.
For police department posts specifically, candidates needed a bachelor degree along with a minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches and a chest measurement of 32 inches.
