The Bihar Public Service Commission has declared the final result of the Assistant Prosecution Officer Competitive Examination 2020, covering a total of 553 posts. This recruitment for law graduates has gone through a long selection cycle stretching from the preliminary stage to the mains and finally the merged final list.
Applications for this recruitment had opened on 7 February 2020 and closed on 21 February 2020, with the fee payment deadline on 26 February 2020. The preliminary exam was held on 7 February 2021, followed by the mains exam on 24 August 2021. The pre result came out on 27 April 2021, a revised pre result followed on 15 September 2022, the mains result was declared on 8 September 2023, and the final result was announced on 2 December 2023. Eligible candidates needed a bachelor's degree in law, either a three year or five year LLB, from a recognised university. The application fee was 600 rupees for General, BC and EWS candidates, and 150 rupees for SC, ST and female candidates domiciled in Bihar. Of the 553 posts, the category-wise breakdown out of a base of 225 shows 55 for EWS, 74 for OBC, 22 for OBC Female, 88 for EBC, 88 for SC and 1 for ST.
