The Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Intelligence Bureau, had invited applications for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II or Executive, ACIO II/Exe, with 995 vacancies open to graduates from any stream.
Online applications had opened on 25 November 2023 and closed on 15 December 2023, with the fee payable by the same date. The written exam followed in January 2024 and the Tier II exam was held on 9 June 2024, with the admit card released ahead of each stage. The fee was 550 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and 450 rupees for SC, ST and for women candidates across categories. The age limit was 18 to 27 years, and eligibility for the ACIO II/Executive post was a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university. Of the 995 posts, 377 went to UR, 129 to EWS, 222 to OBC, 134 to SC and 133 to ST.
The answer key was released on 23 January 2024, the result for the first stage came out on 29 March 2024, the Tier II result followed on 13 September 2024, and the final result was declared on 19 December 2024.
