The Department of Posts (India Post) has declared the third merit list and result for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Schedule I January 2025 recruitment, which covers 21413 posts across the country.
Applications opened on 10 February 2025 and closed on 3 March 2025, with the fee also due by that date and a correction window held from 6 to 8 March 2025. The first merit list came on 21 March 2025, the second on 21 April 2025 and the third on 19 May 2025. The fee was 100 rupees for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PH candidates and women across all categories were exempted. Candidates needed to be between 18 and 40 years old, with eligibility requiring a Class 10th pass with Mathematics and English, plus knowledge of the local language. The 21413 vacancies are spread across states, led by Uttar Pradesh with 3004 posts, followed by Tamil Nadu with 2292, Madhya Pradesh with 1314, Andhra Pradesh with 1215 and Gujarat with 1203, among others.
