India Post has declared the 7th list of results for the Gramin Dak Sevaks, GDS, recruitment 2022, one of the largest recruitment drives of the year with 38926 posts across the country. Eligible candidates needed to have passed class 10 with Mathematics and English as subjects, along with knowledge of the local language of the circle applied for.
Online applications had opened on 2 May 2022 and closed on 5 June 2022, with the fee payment deadline on the same date. Results were released in stages by circle, starting with Assam and Uttarakhand on 15 June 2022, followed by several more rounds through the year, leading up to the 7th list on 10 November 2022. The fee was 100 rupees for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PH candidates and women of all categories were exempted. The age limit was 18 to 40 years. Vacancies were spread across states such as Madhya Pradesh with 4074 posts, Tamil Nadu with 4310 posts, Maharashtra with 3026 posts, Odisha with 3066 posts and Uttar Pradesh with 2519 posts, among others, each requiring proficiency in the respective local language.
