The Indian Navy has opened registration for Agniveer SSR and Agniveer MR posts under the Agnipath scheme. Registration began on 1 July 2022 following the notification released on 9 July 2022. The SSR application window opened on 15 July 2022 with a last date of 24 July 2022, while the MR application window opened on 25 July 2022 with a last date of 30 July 2022.
There is no application fee for either category. Candidates need to be between 17.5 and 23 years of age. For Agniveer SSR, the eligibility is a 10+2 pass with Mathematics and Physics along with one of Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science, while Agniveer MR, which covers Chef, Steward and Hygienist roles, requires a class 10 pass from any recognised board.
The physical and written exam is expected around October 2022, with medical checks and joining scheduled for 21 November 2022. Eligible candidates should register within the respective SSR or MR window and prepare for the PET and exam that follow.
