The Union Public Service Commission has released results connected to the Civil Services (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) 2025 recruitment cycle, which covers 1129 posts across the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Forest Service and a range of other Group A and Group B central services.
Online applications for this cycle were open from 22 January 2025 to 21 February 2025, with the exam fee due by the same closing date and a correction window running from 22 to 28 February 2025. The Preliminary exam for IAS and IFS was held on 25 May 2025, after the admit card was issued on 13 May 2025, and the Preliminary result came out on 11 June 2025. The IFS Mains result followed on 24 February 2026, the final result was declared on 6 March 2026 with final marks made available on 10 March 2026, and the IFS final result was announced on 8 May 2026. Candidates had to be between 21 and 32 years of age, and the fee was 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS applicants, while SC, ST, PH candidates and all women candidates were exempted.
Of the total 1129 posts, 979 are for the Indian Administrative Service, open to bachelor's degree holders in any stream, and 150 are for the Indian Forest Service, which required a bachelor's degree in a specified science or agriculture-related subject such as botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics or zoology. The remaining posts are spread across other Group A and Group B services covered under the same exam, and candidates should refer to the official notification for the full list and post-wise eligibility.
