The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2024, held for a combined 48 posts. Applications opened on 10 April 2024, and the final result was released on 12 December 2024.
Of the 48 posts, 18 are for Indian Economic Service, open to candidates with a postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics or Econometrics, and 30 are for Indian Statistical Service, open to candidates with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics at the bachelor's or master's level. Applications closed on 30 April 2024 by 6 PM, with the fee also due the same day and a correction window open from 1 to 7 May 2024. The exam was held on 21 June 2024, the admit card was issued on 14 June 2024, and the first result came out on 21 August 2024.
The fee was 200 rupees for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PH and all women candidates were exempted from paying it. The age limit was 21 to 30 years. Candidates who appeared through the various stages can now check the final result.
