UPSC has declared the result for the NDA and NA Examination (I) 2026, conducted to fill 394 posts across the National Defence Academy and the Naval Academy.
Applications for this recruitment opened on 10 December 2025 and closed on 30 December 2025, with the exam fee due by the same date. The written exam was held on 12 April 2026, after the admit card had been issued on 2 April 2026, and the answer key followed on 16 April 2026. The exam fee was 100 rupees for general, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and female candidates did not have to pay anything. Candidates needed to be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age.
The 394 posts were spread across NDA Army with 198 male and 10 female seats, NDA Navy with 37 male and 5 female seats, NDA Air Force Flying with 90 male and 2 female seats, Air Force Ground Duties Technical with 16 male and 2 female seats, Air Force Ground Duties Non-Technical with 8 male and 2 female seats, and the Naval Academy with 21 male and 3 female seats. All streams required a 10+2 pass from a recognised board, with Physics and Mathematics needed for Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy candidates.
