The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has declared the final result for the Combined Junior Engineer 2 Recruitment 2016, an exam that covered 489 posts across civil, electrical and mechanical engineering roles.
This recruitment had a long timeline: applications opened on 27 December 2016 and closed on 17 January 2017, fee payment was due by 19 January 2017, and the form had to be completed by 21 January 2017. The syllabus was made available much later, on 20 September 2019, and a window to re-upload photo and signature was opened until 11 March 2020. The exam finally took place on 19 December 2021, with admit cards issued on 14 December 2021 and the answer key released on 18 January 2022. The result came out on 21 January 2023, the document verification letter on 17 February 2023, and the final result on 3 July 2023. Fees were 225 rupees for General and OBC, 105 rupees for SC and ST, and 25 rupees for PH candidates. The posts spanned various categories of Junior Engineer Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Deputy Architect, with the largest single group being 238 Junior Engineer Civil posts requiring a three-year diploma in civil engineering.
