The Indian Air Force had invited applications for the AFCAT 01/2022 batch, covering 317 posts across various entries, and has since released the merit list for candidates who cleared the selection process. NCC Special Entry and Meteorology Entry candidates were covered under a separate age relaxation clause detailed in the notification.
Applications opened on 1 December 2021 and closed on 30 December 2021, with the fee payment deadline on the same date. The exam was held in February 2022, admit cards were issued on 28 January 2022, and the result came out on 9 March 2022. The fee was 250 rupees for all candidates under the AFCAT entry, while NCC Special and Meteorology Entry candidates were exempted from any fee, both payable through debit card, credit card, net banking or e-challan.
The merit list was made available on 5 November 2022, and the selected batch is scheduled to begin its course in January 2023. Candidates awaiting confirmation should check the merit list against their roll number and note the course start date.
