Banaras Hindu University BHU School Teacher TGT, PGT, PRT and Principal Recruitment 2024 Exam Schedule 2026

Banaras Hindu University had invited applications for School Teacher posts, covering TGT, PGT, PRT and Principal positions, for a total of 47 vacancies, and the exam for this recruitment has now been scheduled for September 2026.

Applications were accepted from 13 June 2024 to 19 July 2024 by 5 PM, with the exam fee due the same day and hard copies of the form to be submitted by 24 July 2024. The exam itself is scheduled for 13 to 15 September 2026, with the admit card to be issued before the exam. The fee for the Principal post was 1000 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and all female candidates were exempted. For TGT, PGT and PRT posts, the fee was 500 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, with SC, ST and female candidates exempted, payable through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI only. The age limit varies by post, ranging from 30 to 55 years.

Of the 47 posts, PRT Teacher accounts for 6 vacancies, requiring 10+2 with 50 percent marks and a two-year diploma in elementary education, B.El.Ed or special education along with CTET, up to a maximum age of 30. TGT Teacher, covering subjects such as English, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Science and Hindi among others, has 29 vacancies, requiring a bachelor's degree with 50 percent marks, B.Ed and CTET, up to age 35. PGT Teacher has 9 vacancies requiring a master's degree with 50 percent marks and B.Ed, up to age 40. Principal has 3 vacancies requiring a master's degree with 50 percent marks, B.Ed, and relevant experience, within an age range of 35 to 55 years.
