Bihar Legislative Council Vidhan Parishad Sachivalaya Recruitment 2026 Result

The Bihar Legislative Council's Vidhan Parishad Sachivalaya has declared the result for its recruitment covering 26 posts. Online applications had opened on 12 March 2024 and closed on 6 April 2024, with the fee payable by the same date, and the application window later reopened between 18 and 27 September 2024 for eligible candidates.

The exam was held on 20 and 27 October 2024, and the admit card was issued before the exam. The result was declared on 13 January 2025. A separate exam for the ASO post followed on 23 May 2025, with its admit card released two days earlier on 21 May 2025. The fee was 600 rupees for General, OBC, EWS and other state candidates, and 150 rupees for SC, ST, PH candidates as well as Bihar domicile women, while the age limit was 18 years for Data Entry Operator and 21 years for other posts, going up to 37 years for men and 40 years for women.

Of the 26 vacancies, 19 are for Assistant Branch Officer, which needs a bachelor's degree along with a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi and English; 5 are for Data Entry Operator, which needs a Class 12 pass with a typing speed of 8000 key depressions per hour; and 7 are for Stenographer, which needs a bachelor's degree along with a stenography speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi and a typing speed of 30 words per minute. Candidates who appeared can check their result and keep track of the ASO exam stage separately.
