Banaras Locomotive Works has declared the merit list and cutoff for its Apprentices recruitment against 374 posts. The exercise covered 300 ITI posts and 74 Non ITI posts, spread across trades such as Fitter, Carpenter, Painter, Machinist, Welder and Electrician, and candidates who applied online can now check where they stand.
Applications for this drive had opened on 26 October 2023 and closed on 25 November 2023 at 4:45 PM, with the fee payable up to the same date and the completed form due by 27 November 2023. The application fee was 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PwD and all female candidates were exempted, and payment was accepted through debit card, credit card or net banking. Eligible candidates needed to be between 15 and 22 years for Non ITI posts and up to 24 years for ITI posts, and needed a Class 10 pass with at least 50 percent marks, with ITI candidates also holding an NCVT certificate in the relevant trade.
Candidates who took the exam should match their roll number against the released merit list and check the trade wise cutoff for their category before assuming a final outcome. The trade wise post distribution given in the notice, covering Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Carpenter and Painter, is useful for anyone trying to gauge where the competition was tighter.
