Bihar Public Service Commission, BPSC, has invited applications for the post of Assistant Engineer in the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical streams, together covering 1024 vacancies. This is a state-level recruitment drive spread across three separate advertisements.
The application window opened on 30 April 2025 and closes on 28 May 2025, which is also the last date to pay the exam fee. The exam date will be announced as per schedule. Of the 1024 posts, 984 are for Assistant Engineer Civil (Advt No. 29/2025), 36 for Assistant Engineer Mechanical (Advt No. 30/2025) and 4 for Assistant Engineer Electrical (Advt No. 31/2025). Candidates need a BE or B.Tech degree in the respective branch from a recognised institute. The application fee is 750 rupees for General, OBC and other-state candidates, and 200 rupees for SC, ST, PH candidates and female candidates domiciled in Bihar, payable online or offline. The age limit starts at 21 years, going up to 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates, with further age relaxation as mentioned in the notification.
