Bihar Public Service Commission has released the admit card for its recruitment of 40506 Head Teacher posts in primary schools under the Bihar Education Department. This is one of the largest teaching recruitments run by the commission, open only to candidates domiciled in Bihar.

Applications had opened on 28 March 2022 and closed on 2 May 2022, with the fee due by the same date and a correction window till 29 April 2022. The fee is 750 rupees for General, OBC and other-state candidates, and 200 rupees for SC, ST, PH candidates and female candidates domiciled in Bihar. The exam, originally scheduled for 22 December 2022, was postponed, and the admit card is being released before the rescheduled exam. Eligibility requires a bachelor's degree with 50 percent marks, relaxed to 45 percent for SC, ST, EWS, OBC and female candidates, along with a DELEd, B.T., B.Ed, B.A.Ed, B.Sc.Ed or B.LEd qualification and TET clearance plus required experience.

Of the 40506 posts, the category-wise split includes 16206 for UR, 7290 for EBC, 6477 for SC, 4861 for OBC, 4046 for EWS, 1210 for BC Female and 418 for ST. Candidates can now download their admit card ahead of the rescheduled exam.
