The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission had invited applications for Assistant Sub Inspector Technical posts in Bihar Police Radio Wireless under advertisement number 07/2026, with 22 vacancies on offer. The post required a diploma in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Tele Communication, IT, or Electrical and Electronics from a recognised institute.
Applications opened on 21 May 2026 and closed on 21 June 2026, with the exam fee also payable by the same date at 100 rupees for all categories. The written exam, originally scheduled earlier, was postponed to 5 August 2026, and its admit card was released on 24 July 2026. The minimum age for applicants was 21 years, with the upper limit at 37 years for men and 40 years for women, plus extra relaxation as detailed in the notification.
Candidates also had to clear physical standards: a height of at least 165 centimetres for male candidates in the unreserved and BC categories and 160 centimetres for SC and ST, with 155 centimetres for women, a chest of 81 to 86 centimetres for men and 79 to 84 centimetres for SC and ST, and a running test of 1.6 kilometres in 7 minutes for men and 1 kilometre in 7 minutes for women.
