Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has invited applications for 43 posts of Range Officer under Bihar Police. The role is open to candidates holding a Bachelor Degree in Science with subjects such as Animal Husbandry, Animal Pathology, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Zoology, or a BCA degree from a recognised university in India.
Applications opened on 13 August 2020 and the online form closed on 16 September 2020, which was also the last date to pay the exam fee. The fee was set at 700 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 400 rupees for SC and ST candidates, payable through debit card, credit card, net banking or offline e-challan. The minimum age for applicants was 21 years, with an upper limit of 42 years for men and 45 years for women. The written exam was held on 17 January 2021, the admit card was released on 3 January 2021, and the result was declared on 19 March 2021. The PET call letter came out on 2 May 2022 ahead of the PET held from 5 to 9 May 2022, and the mark sheet was made available on 21 December 2022.
Of the 43 posts, the category-wise break-up includes 9 for EBC, 4 for EWS, 2 for BC Female, and 1 each for BC, SC and ST. Candidates who appeared for this recruitment can now check their mark sheet using their application details on the commission's portal.
