Bihar State Eligibility Test BSEB STET 2026 Apply Online

The Bihar School Examination Board is accepting online applications for the Bihar State Eligibility Test (STET) 2026, which covers Paper I for Secondary level teaching and Paper II for Senior Secondary level teaching.

Applications open on 17 August 2026 and close on 31 August 2026, with the exam fee also due by the same date. The exam dates for both Paper I and Paper II will be announced as per schedule, the admit card will be issued before the exam, and the result will be notified later. The fee for a single paper is 960 rupees for General, BC and EWS candidates and 760 rupees for SC, ST and PH candidates, while candidates opting for both papers must pay 1440 rupees and 1140 rupees respectively, through debit card, credit card or net banking only. The age limit is 18 years at the minimum, going up to 37 years for male candidates and 42 years for female candidates.

For Paper I, eligibility includes a bachelor's degree with 50 percent marks along with B.Ed, or a master's degree with B.Ed, or a degree with a minimum of 45 percent marks as per NCTE norms with B.Ed, or a four-year BA B.Ed or BSc B.Ed course. Paper II requires a master's degree with 50 percent marks and B.Ed, or a master's degree with 45 percent marks as per NCTE norms with B.Ed, or a master's degree with 55 percent marks along with a three-year B.Ed M.Ed course.
