The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the exam result and announced the Tier II exam date for its recruitment covering Assistant Secretary, Accounts Officer, Junior Engineer, Junior Translation Officer, Accountant and Junior Accountant posts, spread across 118 vacancies in Group A, B and C categories.

Applications had opened on 12 March 2024 and closed on 11 April 2024, which was also the fee payment deadline. The Tier I exam was conducted on 3 and 10-11 August 2024, with the exam city intimated on 25 July 2024, the admit card released on 1 August 2024, and the answer key issued on 17 August 2024. The result was declared on 5 September 2024, and the Tier II exam has now been scheduled for 10 November 2024, with its admit card to be released before the exam. The exam fee for Group A posts was 1500 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and free for SC, ST, PH and female candidates, while Group B and C posts had a fee of 800 rupees for the same general categories and no fee for the reserved and female categories. The age limit ranged from 27 to 35 years depending on the post, with posts like Assistant Secretary (Administration) capped at 35 years and several others at 30 years.

Candidates who have cleared Tier I should now prepare for the Tier II exam scheduled on 10 November 2024 and download the admit card once it is released.
