Central Bank of India had invited applications for 484 Safai Karamchari and Sub Staff posts, open to candidates who have passed the Class 10 Matric exam from a recognised board and who know the local language applicable to the state they are applying for. Vacancies were spread across several states, including 33 posts in Uttar Pradesh, 36 in Bihar, 10 in Delhi NCT, 23 in Rajasthan, 12 in Madhya Pradesh, 9 in Jharkhand, 8 in Chhattisgarh, 54 in Maharashtra, 2 in Odisha and 31 in Gujarat, each carrying its own local language requirement such as Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Konkani, Odia or Gujarati alongside English.
Applications for this recruitment had opened on 20 December 2023 and closed on 9 January 2024. The fee was 850 rupees for general, OBC and EWS candidates and 175 rupees for SC and ST candidates, payable only through debit card, credit card or net banking, and the age limit for applicants was 18 to 26 years.
