The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has released the answer key for its recruitment drive to fill 246 posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer at CSIR institutes. Candidates who sat the computer-based test can now check their responses against the released key.
Applications for this recruitment opened on 22 March 2025 and closed on 21 April 2025 by 5 PM, with the exam fee also payable till that date. The CBT was conducted between 13 and 20 May 2025, after exam city details were released on 7 May 2025 and admit cards were issued three days before each candidate's exam. The answer key followed on 21 May 2025. Of the 246 posts, 177 are for Junior Secretariat Assistant, open to candidates who have cleared 10+2 from a recognised board and have English typing speed of 35 WPM or Hindi typing speed of 30 WPM, while the remaining 69 are for Junior Stenographer, requiring 10+2 along with proficiency in stenography.
The exam fee was 500 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PH candidates and all women candidates were exempted from payment. There was no minimum age requirement, and the maximum age was capped at 28 years for the JSA post and 27 years for the Stenographer post.
