Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has invited online applications for 64 Junior Engineer and Mine Surveyor posts. Of these, 60 posts are for Junior Engineer, spread across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation (C&I) and Communication disciplines, and 4 posts are for Mine Surveyor. Applications opened on 5 June 2024 and will close on 4 July 2024, with the exam fee also payable up to the same date.
Within Junior Engineer, the discipline-wise break-up is 16 posts in Mechanical, 20 in Electrical, 2 in C&I, 20 in Civil and 2 in Communication, while Mine Surveyor carries 4 posts, with reservation numbers set out for UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS candidates in each group. The application fee is 300 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and free for SC, ST and PH candidates, payable online by card, net banking or UPI. The age limit is 18 to 28 years for Junior Engineer and up to 30 years for Mine Surveyor.
Junior Engineer requires a diploma in the relevant engineering trade, while Mine Surveyor needs a Class 10 pass or a diploma in mining or mine surveying, with a minimum of 65 percent marks for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 60 percent for SC, ST and PH candidates. The exam date and admit card will be announced later, before the exam.
