Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor across various subjects, with 2424 vacancies notified this round. The recruitment covers general as well as reserved category candidates, and the commission had reopened the application window for candidates who missed the earlier deadline.
Online applications opened on 7 August 2024 and were to close on 2 September 2024 by 5 PM, with the exam fee payable by the same date. The form was reopened between 6 and 12 November 2024 for a fresh set of applicants. The exam fee is 1000 rupees for male general candidates, while it comes down to 250 rupees for Haryana's reserved categories and for women candidates of all categories, and persons with disability are exempted from paying any fee. Candidates can pay through debit card, credit card or net banking. The minimum age for applying is 21 years and the upper limit is 42 years. Among the 2424 posts, 429 are reserved for SC, 361 for BC-A, 137 for BC-B and 225 for EWS candidates.
Applicants need a master's degree with 55 percent marks in the relevant subject from a recognised university, along with knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to the 10th standard, and must have cleared UGC NET, SLET or SET, or hold a PhD or M.Phil. The exam date has not been announced yet and the admit card will be notified later, so candidates should keep checking the commission's site and go through the full notification for subject-wise eligibility.
