The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the admit card for the Specialist Officer recruitment, 16th edition, advertised for 1035 posts across various specialist categories for 2026.
Online applications were accepted from 1 July 2026 to 26 July 2026, with the exam fee payable up to the same date. The preliminary exam is scheduled for August 2026, and its admit card was released on 20 August 2026. The preliminary result is expected in September or October 2026, followed by the Mains exam in November 2026, with the Mains result also due the same month. The fee is 850 rupees for General, EWS and OBC candidates, and 175 rupees for SC, ST and PH candidates, payable online or offline. Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years of age. The 1035 vacancies are spread across IT Officer Scale I with 376 posts, Agriculture Field Officer Scale I with 370 posts, Law Officer Scale I with 125 posts, Rajbasha Adhikari with 94 posts, HR / Personnel Officer Scale I with 60 posts and Marketing Officer Scale I with 10 posts.
IT Officer posts require a bachelor's degree with a B Level certificate or an engineering degree in a computer-related field, or a master's degree. The Agriculture Field Officer post needs an engineering degree in agriculture or an equivalent subject, the Law Officer post requires a bachelor's degree in law with Bar Council enrolment, Rajbasha Adhikari needs a master's degree in Hindi or Sanskrit with English as a subject, HR / Personnel Officer requires a master's degree or PG diploma in personnel management or a related field, and Marketing Officer needs a master's degree or PG diploma in marketing.
