The Indian Army has invited applications for Agniveer posts under the Agnipath recruitment rally, covering categories such as General Duty, Technical, Clerk or Store Keeper Technical, and Tradesman for both 10th and 8th pass candidates. The detailed notification was released on 20 June 2022.
Applications opened on 1 July 2022 and the last date to apply online was 30 July 2022, varying rally-wise. There is no application fee for any category. The age limit is between 17.5 and 23 years. Agniveer General Duty requires a class 10 pass with 45 percent marks overall and 33 percent in each subject. Agniveer Technical needs a 10+2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50 percent aggregate, or a 10+2 pass with a one year ITI course. Agniveer Clerk or Store Keeper Technical requires 10+2 in any stream with 60 percent aggregate, while Tradesman posts are open to both class 10 and class 8 pass candidates with a minimum of 33 percent marks in each subject.
