The Jharkhand Public Service Commission had invited applications under Advertisement No. 01/2024 for its Combined Civil Services Examination, covering 342 posts across the state administration. Eligible candidates needed a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university to apply, and the recruitment has now moved through to the mains result stage.
Applications opened on 1 February 2024 and closed on 29 February 2024 by 5 PM, with the exam fee payable by 1 March 2024. The preliminary exam was held on 17 March 2024, with the admit card issued on 12 March 2024, and JPSC declared the preliminary result on 23 April 2024. The mains examination followed on 22 to 24 June 2024, with its own admit card released on 16 June 2024, and the mains result was declared on 20 May 2025.
The examination fee was 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 50 rupees for SC and ST candidates, payable online through debit card, credit card or net banking only. The age limit for applicants was 21 to 35 years. Within the 342 posts, the break-up included 207 posts of Deputy Collector, 56 of State Tax Officer, 10 under Jharkhand Education Service Category 2, 8 of Assistant Essayist and 6 of Probation Officer.
