Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, under the Indian Navy, has invited online applications for Trade Apprentice posts across various trades, with 338 vacancies on offer. ITI-qualified candidates need a Class 10th pass along with an ITI certificate in the related trade, while non-ITI candidates can apply with a Class 8th or Class 10th pass, depending on the trade.
The application window opened on 21 June 2022 and closes on 11 July 2022, with the completed form also due by the same date. There is no application fee for any category, including General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST and PH candidates. The exam date has not been announced yet. Candidates need to have been born between 1 August 2001 and 31 October 2008 to be eligible on age.
The 338 posts are spread across trades such as Electrician (49), Mechanic Diesel (39), Marine Engine Fitter (36), Electronics Mechanic (28) and Welder (23), besides smaller openings in trades like Plumber, Machinist, Fitter and Carpenter. The one-year and two-year trades, including Fitter, Rigger and Forger & Heat Treater, are listed separately in the notification, which candidates should go through for their specific trade and post count.
