Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has invited online applications for Trainee posts in the Electrical discipline, with 117 vacancies on offer across Trainee Engineer and Trainee Supervisor positions.
The application window opened on 16 October 2024 and closes on 6 November 2024, with the exam fee also payable by the same date through debit card, credit card or net banking. The admit card will be issued before the exam, though the exact exam date is yet to be scheduled. The fee is 500 rupees for Trainee Engineer and 300 rupees for Trainee Supervisor for UR, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and PH candidates are exempted from payment. There is no minimum age prescribed, and the upper age limit is 28 years for Trainee Engineer and 27 years for Trainee Supervisor.
Of the 117 posts, 47 are for Trainee Engineer (Electrical), which requires a BE, B.Tech or B.Sc Engineering degree in Electrical with 60 percent marks along with a valid GATE 2024 score, and 70 are for Trainee Supervisor, which requires a diploma in Electrical Engineering with 70 percent marks, with SC, ST and PH candidates needing only a pass in the diploma.
