The Rajasthan government has released the syllabus for its Primary and Upper Primary Teacher recruitment covering Level 1 and Level 2 posts, against a total of 45420 vacancies. Level 1, for Primary Teachers, accounts for 15500 posts, while Level 2, for Upper Primary Teachers, accounts for 16500 posts, with the remaining vacancies spread across subject-wise Level 2 openings such as English with 4330 posts, Social Studies with 2515, Science and Maths with 3175, and smaller numbers for Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi.
Applications for this recruitment had opened on 10 January 2022 and closed on 16 February 2022, with the fee payment deadline on the same date. The syllabus was made available on 10 August 2022, while the exam date and admit card are yet to be notified. The application fee was 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, 70 rupees for non-creamy-layer OBC, and 60 rupees for SC, ST, PH and Saharia candidates, payable only through debit card, credit card or net banking. The age limit is 18 to 40 years, with extra relaxation as per the Rajasthan 32000 Teacher Recruitment Rules.
For Level 1, candidates need a 10+2 pass with 50 percent marks and a 2 year diploma in elementary education, or equivalent qualifications under NCTE norms, while Level 2 requires a bachelor degree with 50 percent marks and a similar diploma, or a bachelor or master degree with a B.Ed. Candidates preparing for the exam should go through the newly released syllabus in detail and keep checking for the exam date, which is expected to be announced soon.
