North Eastern Railway has invited applications for Act Apprentices training under the RRC Gorakhpur notification for 2023-2024, offering 1104 seats across various trades. Candidates who have completed Class 10th with 50 percent marks along with an ITI certificate in a related trade or branch are eligible to apply.
Online applications opened on 25 November 2023, and the last date to apply, up to 5 PM, along with the fee payment deadline, is 24 December 2023. The application fee is 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST candidates and all women are exempted from the fee. The age limit ranges from a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 24 years. The 1104 seats are distributed across NER units, with the largest share at Mechanical Workshop, Gorakhpur with 411 seats, followed by Carriage & Wagon, Lucknow Jn with 155, Carriage & Wagon, Varanasi with 75, Diesel Shed, Izzatnagar with 60, and Bridge Workshop, Gorakhpur Cantt with 35.
