The Railway Recruitment Cell has invited online applications for Trade Apprentice posts under Western Railway, Mumbai, for a large intake of 5349 vacancies across various trades. This is one of the bigger apprenticeship drives on the railways this year, open to candidates who have completed class 10 with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
Online applications open on 21 February 2026 and close on 23 March 2026 up to 5 PM, with the exam fee payable by the same date. The fee is 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while it is waived for SC, ST, PH candidates and for women across all categories; payment can be made in cash through e-challan or online via debit card, credit card or net banking. The age limit for applicants is 15 to 24 years. Eligibility for the single post category, RRC WR Trade Apprentice, calls for a class 10 pass with at least 50 percent marks along with an ITI certificate in the related trade or stream.
The merit list will be released as per schedule after the application window closes. Candidates should keep their class 10 and ITI documents ready, since eligibility rests entirely on these two qualifications.
