State Bank of India has declared the final result for the Circle Based Officer (CBO) exam 2022, closing out a recruitment drive that covered 1226 posts, including 1100 regular CBO vacancies. Candidates needed a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university, along with knowledge of the local language of the circle they applied for.
The process began with applications opening on 9 December 2021 and closing on 29 December 2021, with the exam fee payable by the same date, 750 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and free for SC, ST and PH candidates. The written exam was held on 23 January 2022 after admit cards went live on 11 January 2022. The result was first announced on 3 June 2022 and the final result followed on 25 June 2022. The age band for the post was 21 to 30 years.
Vacancies were spread across six states with separate local-language requirements: Gujarat carried the largest share at 354 posts (Gujarati), followed by Karnataka with 278 (Kannada) and Tamil Nadu with 276 (Tamil), while Rajasthan had 104, Madhya Pradesh 162 and Chhattisgarh 52, all requiring Hindi. Each state list breaks the count down further by Gen, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and backlog categories, so candidates should check the final result notice for their own state and category-wise standing.
