The Sashastra Seema Bal has declared the final result for its Constable Tradesman recruitment, which covered a large 1522 posts across various trade categories such as Driver, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Painter, Tailor, Veterinary and more.
Online applications had opened on 29 August 2020 and closed on 27 September 2020, with the fee payment deadline set on the same date. The exam was conducted in stages across trades, with Ayah, Barber, Carpenter, Cobbler, Gardner, Painter, Plumber, Tailor, Veterinary and Washer Man candidates examined on 23 January 2023, Waiter, Safaiwala, Cook and Water Carrier candidates on 13 February 2023, and other posts on 13 July 2023, with the admit card released before each exam. The initial result was declared on 28 August 2023, followed by the final result on 23 November 2023. Candidates needed to have passed Class 10 along with an ITI, NCVT certificate or diploma in the related trade. The application fee was 100 rupees for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PH candidates and all female candidates were exempted. The age limit ranged from 18 to 27 years depending on the post, with individual trades such as Driver requiring 21 to 27 years and several others requiring 18 to 23 or 18 to 25 years.
