The Staff Selection Commission has declared the final result of the Combined Graduate Level CGL Examination 2022, a large central recruitment drive covering close to 20,000 vacancies across numerous ministries, departments and organisations. Posts under this exam range from Assistant Section Officer and Inspector of Income Tax to Sub Inspector, Divisional Accountant, Statistical Investigator and various Assistant and Accountant roles spread across bodies such as the CBDT, CBIC, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Railways and the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Applications for this cycle were accepted from 17 September to 13 October 2022, with online fee payment due by 14 October and offline e-challan payment by 15 October. A correction window was opened on 19 and 20 October 2022. The application fee stood at 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PH and all female candidates across categories were exempted. Tier I was held between 1 and 13 December 2022, with its answer key out on 17 December and result on 9 February 2023. Tier II followed from 2 to 7 March 2023, with its answer key released on 14 March. The general age band across most posts runs from 18 to 27 years, though it extends up to 30 or 32 years for select posts. The final result was declared on 13 May 2023.
Eligibility across nearly all posts is a bachelor degree in any stream, with post specific age limits, such as 18 to 32 years for Junior Statistical Officer given its additional mathematics or statistics requirement. Candidates cleared in this final result should now watch for the document verification and option filling stages tied to their allotted post.
