The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has invited applications for the Combined State and Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2026, covering 500 posts across general and special categories. This is the preliminary stage of the state's combined competitive exam, open to graduates from any recognized university.
Online applications opened on 25 June 2026 and, after an extension, the last date to apply and to pay the examination fee was moved to 3 August 2026. Candidates could make corrections in their submitted forms between 25 June and 10 August 2026. The examination fee is 125 rupees for general, OBC and EWS candidates, 65 rupees for SC and ST candidates, and 25 rupees for candidates with disabilities, payable through SBI Mops debit or credit card, net banking, or the SBI e-Challan mode. The age limit for applicants is set between 21 and 40 years. The admit card will be issued before the exam, and the preliminary exam date itself will follow as per schedule.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university in India are eligible to apply for the 500 notified posts. Those who missed the earlier deadline should note the extended date and complete both the form and fee payment together.
