The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the admit card for the screening exam of Scientific Officer under its 2023 recruitment covering various posts, with 395 vacancies in total. Applications had been invited online from 14 June to 14 July 2023, and the exam fee had to be paid by the same closing date.
The recruitment spans a wide range of posts beyond Scientific Officer, including Dental Surgeon, which carries the largest share at 174 posts, Homoeopathic Medical Officer, Homoeopathic Residential Medical Officer, Unani Medical Officer, Mines Officer, and a series of Lecturer and Reader posts in Ayurveda and Unani subjects such as Shalya Tantra, Kriya Shareer and Kulliyat. The Scientific Officer posts themselves are split across Biology, Computer Forensic, Physics, Chemistry and Behavioral Science domains, with 22, 9, 6, 3 and 1 vacancies respectively. Age limits vary by post, generally running from 21 to 45 years, and the fee was 105 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, 65 rupees for SC and ST, and 25 rupees for PH candidates.
Different posts under this recruitment have had their exams on different dates, from the Dental Surgeon exam in October 2023 to the Scientific Officer exam now set for 18 May 2025, with its admit card released on 8 May 2025.
