The Union Public Service Commission has declared the OTA final result, along with marks for candidates who were not qualified, for the CDS First exam recruitment covering 324 posts. These posts are spread across the Indian Military Academy with 100 posts, the Indian Naval Academy with 22 posts, the Air Force with 32 posts, and the Officers Training Academy, OTA, with 170 posts.

Applications for this exam had opened on 21 December 2022 and closed on 12 January 2023 at 6 PM, with the fee payable by the same date and a form correction window open from 18 to 24 January 2023. The exam was held on 16 April 2023, with the admit card released on 24 March 2023. The application fee was 200 rupees for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST candidates and all female candidates were exempted. Eligibility differed by academy: a bachelor's degree in any stream for IMA and OTA, a bachelor's degree in engineering for the Naval Academy, and a bachelor's degree with physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level or an engineering degree for the Air Force.

The result was first declared on 4 May 2023, the final result followed on 27 October 2023, the OTA final result came on 24 January 2024, with marks made available on 1 February 2024 and marks for not-qualified candidates released on 12 March 2024.
