The Union Public Service Commission has declared the result for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) I 2026 examination, held for recruitment to 394 posts across the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers' Training Academy.

Applications for this cycle were accepted online from 10 December 2025 to 30 December 2025, with the exam fee also due by 30 December 2025. The written exam was conducted on 12 April 2026, after the admit card was released on 2 April 2026, and the result followed on 8 May 2026. The fee was 100 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and women candidates were not required to pay.

Of the 394 posts, IMA carried 100 vacancies for candidates with a bachelor's degree in any stream, INA had 26 for engineering graduates, AFA had 32 for candidates with a bachelor's degree including physics and math at the 10+2 level or an engineering degree, and OTA carried the largest share with 293 posts, again open to bachelor's degree holders in any stream.
