The Union Public Service Commission has released the answer key for the Combined Medical Services Examination, CMS, 2026. The recruitment covers 1,358 vacancies for medical officer posts.
Online applications were accepted from 11 March 2026 to 31 March 2026, 6 PM, which was also the last date to pay the exam fee. The exam was conducted on 2 August 2026, with the admit card issued on 24 July 2026 and the answer key following on 5 August 2026. The fee is 200 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PH candidates and all women candidates are exempted from paying it. The upper age limit for candidates is 32 years.
Among the posts covered, 864 vacancies are for Medical Officers in the General Duty Medical Officers sub cadre of the Central Health Service, open to candidates who have passed or are appearing for the MBBS degree from a recognised university.
