The Union Public Service Commission has declared the mains exam result for its Combined Geo Scientist recruitment, a process covering 192 posts across Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Scientist B roles.
Applications for this exam had opened on 22 September 2021 and closed on 12 October 2021 up to 6 PM, with the fee, 200 rupees for General and OBC candidates, and exempted for SC, ST, PH candidates and all female candidates, payable through card, net banking or e-challan. The preliminary exam was held on 20 February 2022, its admit card released on 1 February 2022, and its result declared on 26 March 2022. The mains exam followed on 25 and 26 June 2022, with the admit card out on 3 June 2022, and the mains result has now been declared on 18 August 2022. Of the 192 posts, 100 are for Geologist Group A, 50 for Geophysicist Group A, 22 for Scientist B in Hydrogeology, Chemical and Geophysics streams, and 20 for Chemist Group A, each requiring a relevant master's degree or an equivalent qualification.
