The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has invited applications for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026, the common qualifying exam used for various UPSSSC recruitments. The score card from this test remains valid for 3 years.
Online applications are open from 3 August 2026 to 1 September 2026, which is also the last date to pay the fee, and corrections can be made up to 8 September 2026. The exam is tentatively planned for October 2026, with the exam city intimation and admit card both to be released before the exam, and the eligibility result to follow as per schedule. The fee is 185 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates, 95 rupees for SC and ST candidates, and 25 rupees for PH (Divyang) candidates. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old, and the minimum qualification is a Class 10 pass, though any higher qualification from a recognized university also qualifies.
Since PET is used as a common eligibility test for several UPSSSC posts later on, candidates should keep the score card safe once issued and watch for the exam city and admit card notifications closer to October.
