The Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2026 is open for online applications for both the Primary Level and Junior Level examinations. This is the qualifying test for candidates seeking to become teachers at these levels in the state.
Applications began on 14 July 2026 and could be submitted until 3 August 2026, with the fee payment deadline set for 6 August. A correction window was opened from 8 to 11 August 2026 for candidates to edit their submitted forms. The exam is scheduled for 29 September 2026, and the admit card will be released before the exam, with the answer key to follow after the exam and the result to be announced later. For Paper I alone, the fee is 600 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 300 rupees for SC and ST candidates; for candidates appearing in both papers, Junior and Primary, the fee is 1000 rupees for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 500 rupees for SC and ST candidates. Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card or net banking, or offline.
Eligibility for the Primary Level includes candidates with a 10+2 qualification along with a Diploma in Elementary Education or a B.El.Ed degree, among other listed qualification codes, while the Junior Level requires a bachelor's degree with B.Ed or an equivalent qualification, again across several codes. Candidates should check the notification for the exact eligibility code that applies to their qualification before applying.
