About this tool
Eligibility for a sarkari post is a checklist, not a single number: age on the cut-off date, minimum educational qualification, and for some exams a cap on the number of attempts. This tool runs all three checks together and tells you which one fails, rather than leaving you to piece it together from the advertisement.
Fill in the criteria from the notification you are looking at. The tool is deliberately generic so it works for SSC, railways, banking, state PSC and police recruitment alike, instead of hard-coding one exam's rules.
Frequently asked questions
›Does a higher qualification always satisfy a lower requirement?
Usually yes: a graduate satisfies a 12th-pass requirement, and the calculator treats qualifications as a ladder for that reason. A handful of posts do specify an exact qualification and disqualify over-qualified candidates, so read the notification.
›What if my result is awaited?
Most notifications require the qualification to be complete by the last date of application. If your result is pending, treat yourself as not yet eligible unless the advertisement explicitly allows appearing candidates.
›Are attempt limits common?
No, they mainly apply to UPSC Civil Services and a few state PSC exams. Leave the attempts field blank when the notification does not mention a cap.
