Days Between Two Dates Calculator

Days, weeks and working days between two dates

The exam date, the last date of application, and so on.

Pick both dates to count the gap between them.

Working days exclude only Saturdays and Sundays. Gazetted holidays vary by state and department, so subtract those separately when a deadline depends on them.

About this tool

Counts the gap between two dates in days, weeks and calendar months, and separately counts working days by excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Handy for tracking how long is left before an application closes or an exam date arrives.

By default the end date is excluded, which is the usual convention for deadlines. Toggle it on when you need the count to include both endpoints, for example when counting how many days an exam window stays open.

Frequently asked questions

›Are public holidays excluded from working days?

No, only Saturdays and Sundays. Gazetted holidays vary by state and department, so subtract them yourself if they matter for your deadline.

›Why does the calendar month count differ from days ÷ 30?

Because months have different lengths. The calculator counts complete calendar months first and reports the leftover days separately.

›Can I count days to a future exam date?

Yes. Put today in the first field and the exam date in the second; the countdown is the days figure.
